Abstract

Provides a brief overview of the topic of polygamy, its complexity, and relevance to modern society. Polygamy is the act of a man who legally has more than one wife. This topic is very complex because it involves religious, cultural, and social aspects. In modern society, polygamy is considered controversial because it violates the principle of gender equality and creates injustice. Despite this, there are opinions that argue that polygamy is still relevant and provides certain protection. By understanding this complexity, we can seek a fair balance in dealing with this issue. Explain the purpose of the study, which is to analyze the implementation of polygamy fairly in the context of Islamic principles and modern social realities. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of polygamy can be carried out fairly in the context of Islamic principles and modern social realities. In the context of Islamic principles, it will be analyzed how polygamy can be carried out in accordance with religious teachings and principles of justice. In addition, the study will also look at modern social realities affecting the implementation of polygamy, including significant social and cultural changes. As such, this research will provide a deeper understanding of how polygamy can be exercised fairly in today's society. The research method used in this study is qualitative research.
